At the heart (and head) of good mental health is good gut health. In this section of the course, we explore the gut-brain connection, the fascinating intelligence of the gut, and its essential role in combatting depression, anxiety, and numerous neurodegenerative diseases.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand that the gut has its own intelligence and be able to describe how it works
  • Understand how to support the microbiome of the gut
  • Realize how the gut affects the brain directly
  • Know the symptoms associated with a gut disorder or unhealthy gut
